French, Brass cased carriage timepiece with embossed platform and duplex escapement, the balance with bat wings. There is a large seconds hand above 12 that completes its minute circle in 36 seconds, c1900

the case has been professionally polished and re-gilded; it is outstanding. The porcelain dial is excellent. Hands are original. movement is clean and ticking robustly. Alarms loudly on a rear mounted bell. Ht 6.6"
